Land Rover wins honours in Tow Car Awards
Jaguar Land Rover has maintained its popularity with the country set and caravanners by winning accolades at this year's Tow Car Awards.
Maintaining its position as the best in its class, the Land Rover Discovery consolidated its position as the most successful vehicle in the history of the Tow Car Awards. The 3.0 SDV6 XS Discovery was once again the outright winner in the 1,900kg+ category, consistently performing better than any of its rivals, including its most recently launched competitors. This was the fifth consecutive win for the Discovery and amazingly its seventh in eight years, which is a record unmatched by any other vehicle.
Speaking about the Land Rover Discovery, the judges said: "It is going to take a really superb car to beat the Discovery. Power, performance, stability, practicality - it has the lot."
The winner of the Money No Object Award went to the Range Rover Sport 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic. The judges praised the inaugural winner of the prize and described it as a "phenomenal tow car".
The managing director of Jaguar Land Rover (UK), Jeremy Hicks, spoke about the prestigious awards, saying: "These awards are a great reward for the strength of Jaguar Land Rover design and engineering."
