Land Rover launches two specials
In a bid to widen the international appeal of the iconic Defender, Land Rover has launched two special editions: the Graphite and the Landmark. These editions offer distinctive finishing to the cabin and the exterior to provide an exclusive and luxurious feel. The models will be available to order from the end of October and have been introduced to give the Discovery an even bigger on-road presence. Expect to see them out and about on the roads in January 2016.
Speaking about the two new models, product marketing director Finbar McFall said: "The appeal of the Land Rover Discovery has just got even greater. We have launched two new special editions - the Landmark and Graphite, which offer the customer greater on-road presence and enhanced comfort to complement the Discovery's existing versatility and capability attributes. "The price of the Landmark starts at £55,995, for which its purchasers get a unique and premium feel. Outside there are full-length roof rails, some cosmetic tweaking and the choice of five limited range body colours. The entry-level Graphite costs slightly less at £47,495 and has exclusive 19-inch seven-spoke alloys. Customers can choose between nine different body colours and three interior colours.
The Defender has always been acclaimed as the ultimate in off-road driving and the Hill Descent Control and Terrain Response features are fitted as standard in the Graphite and Landmark. There is a choice of a single-speed or twin-speed transfer box, while new technology informs the driver about the depth of the water through which he or she is driving. This means that each of these models can tackle even the toughest and most challenging ground.
