Land Rover launches Experience Centre in Bahrain

There is some great news for any off-road driving enthusiast living in or visiting the Middle East, as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has opened a Land Rover Experience Centre in Bahrain. The centre, which is designed to put even the most skilled driver's skills to the test, has been opened in conjunction with the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

Land Rover is the world's leading manufacturer of luxury multi-terrain vehicles and has built up a considerable reputation over the years since the launch of the first Defender. Speaking about the new development, the company's managing director for North Africa and the Middle East, Bruce Robertson, said: "Land Rover is committed to delivering its unique brand spirit to customers through authentic brand experiences. This new Experience Centre represents another proud achievement for Land Rover. Customers and driving enthusiasts alike will have even more opportunity to experience Land Rover products, while also gaining access to our professional off-road driver training. With all our Land Rover Experience venues we aim to give the customer a special, unique experience."

The centre, which is in the Sakhir desert, has 3.5 kilometres of off-road track covering a variety of challenging terrain, including sand, rock, hill and water. As well as pitting their skills against nature, the Land Rover drivers will come up against obstacles that have been constructed by JLR engineers. The whole experience has been designed to develop and hone driving skills behind the wheel of one of the most durable and luxurious vehicles in the world.

JLR has now opened 49 Experience Centres in 20 countries.
