Best MPVs and people carriers of 2012
WHATCAR have recently published their list of the best MPVs and people carriers of 2012 and we were absolutely delighted to see that nearly half of the vehicles chosen are ones that we supply under within this category. This once again shows how committed we are to only offering vehicles of the absolute highest standard.
The criteria used when deciding on what is the best MPV or people carrier fall into a number of categories such as the best vehicle for family use and obviously, how safe the vehicle is and how flexible the interior is in terms of how it can be arranged. These are both obviously key factors as vehicles of this nature are typically driven out of necessity.
It should also be noted that not all of the vehicles listed are, strictly speaking, an MPV or a people carrier and some, such as the Land Rover Discovery have been included based on their ability to carry more passengers than a regular car.
Below you can see which of the vehicles on our fleet were included in the list of best of class for 2012 and some of what they had to say:
The Ford S-Max is more fun to drive than most other MPVs, yet it's also refined. The cabin is roomy and versatile, while all versions are well equipped.
Land Rover Discovery
The Discovery isn't an MPV either, but it is fantastic for carrying up to seven people. The second and third rows fold down to leave a flat floor without the need to remove the headrests. The tailgate is split so that it can serve as a picnic seat or viewing platform.
The Peugeot 5008 is a great family car, with pretty much all the practicality and refinement you could wish for. It's stylish and good to drive, too.
The Volvo XC90 is another great car for carrying families. It is comfortable, classy and has a smooth ride and a strong image.
