The real triumph for Mercedes F1

The real triumph for Mercedes F1

Dealerships across Britain will be looking to capitalise on the incredible success of the Mercedes Formula 1 team and especially the achievement of Lewis Hamilton in winning the title. The British driver roared home victorious in the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.

To celebrate this success and, of course, to turn it into income, there will be banners in Mercedes dealerships across the UK and the championship-winning race car will do a tour of British showrooms.

A spokesman for the company said: "Formula One vividly demonstrates our commitment to team work, to innovation, to research and development and cutting-edge engineering." The spokesman added: "Formula One helps ensure Mercedes-Benz is seen by motorsport fans and a new audience around the world. This is reflected, in the case of the A-Class, by over 70% of those enquiring about the car being new to Mercedes-Benz." Total dominance was displayed by the German car maker in the world of F1, as it drove to success in both the driver and construction championships. Running a racing team is not cheap; however, Mercedes will be optimistic that it can recoup much of this cost from car sales as a result of what can only be described as the ultimate promotional campaign. To put the whole thing into marketing perspective, the BBC says that it takes the company just three and a half hours to recoup Lewis Hamilton's basic annual salary of £19.3m through sales revenue.

The thoughts of the Mercedes Formula 1 team will now be firmly set on next year, with hopes of maintaining the success.
