Mercedes GLE Coupe to star in blockbuster
German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has recently revealed that it will be involved in the new film Jurassic World, which will be in cinemas next month. People who remember the original Jurassic Park - which was a box office success - should flock to see this new adaptation, as in addition to being able to see dinosaurs they will get the chance to take a look at some classy Mercedes vehicles.
Cars in the film include the G63 AMG, the G-Class and the Unimog truck; however, the star of the movie is the new GLE Coupe. Rumour has it that the scenes that feature the coupe were shot behind closed doors, as the vehicle had yet to make its debut on the world stage. The association that the German company has with Jurassic Park can be traced back to 1997, which was the year of the sequel called The Lost World. The Mercedes M-Class was seen for the first time in this film.
Dr Jens Thiemer, the company's marketing vice-president, said: "Today, 18 years later, another Mercedes-Benz car will debut in a significant role in the latest instalment of the Jurassic Park series - the new GLE Coupe." Dr Thiemer added that everybody at Mercedes was very happy to continue the partnership.
The new epic is set 22 years after the original, with the plot involving a new amusement park and genetic experiments on dinosaurs. What happens next? You will need to go to the cinema to find this out; however, you can expect mayhem and some top-class vehicles.
