Volkswagen releases more information about 2015 Passat
Last week German car manufacturer Volkswagen released more information about its totally redesigned Passat models for 2015. Featuring redesigned sheet metal reminiscent of the current CC, the company's brand new and rather attractive Passat is currently on its way to European roads.
Over the last year Volkswagen sold around 1.1 million Passat vehicles across the world and the company is now trying to build on this success by offering a restyled Passat in international markets.
The 2015 Passat's striking design comes from slightly modified proportions, including a longer wheelbase, a lowered body and bigger wheels - something that is very popular in the market right now. The eighth-generation Passat will be available both in estate and saloon form, although a TDI estate has not yet been announced. Internationally, the Passat will be available with a choice of ten different engines ranging from a brand new plug-in hybrid model to diesel and petrol variants.
Volkswagen also added extendable HUD (head-up display) and many other gadgets to the 2015 Passat to ensure that it will remain one of its best-selling saloons; in addition, the 2015 model boasts an optional, fully-configurable TFT display with a 12.3-inch screen.
The new Passat offers car buyers a preview of what VW products are likely to look like in future. If the new model is anything to go by, we can expect a lot of great things from this car manufacturer in the years to come.
