BMW UK announces prices for M4 and M3 models
BMW UK has announced the price schemes for its brand new M4 coupe and M3 saloon models for the British market, where the German luxury car manufacturer plans to sell 1,000 of the former and 180 of the latter in their first full year on the market.
The more snappy M4, which is of course based on the 4-Series, will cost from £56,635, while the decidedly more practical four-door M3 will carry a price tag from £56,175.
Models aimed at the British car market will be fitted with standard Adaptive M suspension, an adjustable three-mode steering system and BMW's new M Compound brakes, which "contribute to a substantial reduction in unsprung masses." Carbon ceramics will be available at an additional cost and will be fitted with smart-looking gold callipers.
Other features that will come as standard include 19-inch M alloys; a manual six-speed transmission; rear and front parking sensors; electric, heated front seats; and electric folding mirrors.
It is the optional extras, however, that will really define every M4 or M3 that drives off the showroom floor. These include "Adaptive full LED headlights with an intelligent anti-dazzle High-beam Assistant and a further-developed version of Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function," and a Professional Navigation system boasting three-dimensional map capabilities.
Another optional extra is the M Head-up Display, which will provide the owner with extra M-specific features such as a rev counter, a gear display and Optimum Shift Indicator.
For buyers requiring an even more customised vehicle, the Individual program is available as an option for both models.
