Audi fits out TT with high-tech infotainment
Top audio provider Harman will delight drivers of the latest TT model by providing the infotainment. When the latest generation of the German company's iconic sports coupé takes to the road later in 2014, it will be the first TT to feature infotainment designed by the company.
Designed to deliver the ultimate audio experience, TT drivers will get top navigation with worldwide coverage that includes 3D maps and the ability to do searches for points of interest. With a 'one-shot' address entry system, users state their destination in a single phrase; this is safer and easier than the system in use at the moment, where you have to enter every element of the address separately.
For entertainment there is iPad, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, with a direct music streaming facility. As well as taking music from an external source, the new Audi TT infotainment system has a large amount of digital storage space for music and data. All this comes with a pretty impressive six-channel amp that is capable of pumping out 120 watts for a high-class audio experience.
The president of the Harman infotainment division, Sachin Lawande, said: "We are delighted to take Harman premium infotainment on board another vehicle in the Audi family, further extending our cooperation with the companies in the Volkswagen Group. Drivers of the new Audi TT can look forward to superior connectivity, entertainment and navigation in their vehicle. This is an advanced infotainment system which was engineered with a real passion for excellence, and it's evident in every detail."
