Audi A4 to feature top-of-the-range audio
If you are the sort of person who buys one of the new Audi A4 models, then you are not going to want just any old audio system. The A4 Avant and saloon, which will be in the showrooms in 2016, will have the option of a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system to set the right mood in the cabin.
The new A4 models, which will be produced as direct rivals to the BMW 3-Series, will have the edge when it comes to music quality. Bang & Olufsen, which is Danish company, has collaborated with Audi to provide tech-savvy music lovers with an optimal listening experience.
This experience can be enjoyed in the A4 saloon and the A4 Avant, as an option, and comes with 19 speakers. Each speaker is fitted in a grill integrated into the design of the A4's cabin, with the controls next to the 12.3-inch digital dashboard. The system has a 16-channel class D amplifier, which has an output of an incredible 755 watts delivered in surround sound format, which should be awesome.
With production of the new A4s pencilled in for towards the end of next year, the introduction of the 3D sound system should bring with it a lot of interest from Audi fans. The head of Bang & Olufsen Automotive for HARMAN, Jens Peter Zinck, describes the sound system as "an exciting new dimension to the listening experience."
