Sales manager appointed for specialist cars

Chris Payne has been appointed sales manager of our specialist cars division which provides complete rental, contract hire and vehicle sales solutions for personal and corporate clients.

Chris has over 13 years’ experience working in various roles within the prestige car sector, most recently as used car transaction/business manager for BMW Halliwell Jones.  Prior to that, he spent three years in sales with Audi Cheshire Oaks and he has also worked for Lexus Stockport (RRG Group) and for Sytner Kings Chrysler.

Based at our Leeds headquarters, Chris will lead sales for the specialist cars division which was set up 18 months ago.  His appointment coincides with the launch of a brand new website for specialist cars as the business continues to grow.  Complementing our  specialist cars showrooms in Leeds and Stockport, the new website lists all of the vehicles available which currently includes models of Land Rover Range Rovers, Porsches and even an Aston Martin DB9 and a Maserati Ghibli.  It also features information about finance options, part exchange and aftersales.

Neil McGawley, managing director of AMT Group, said: “With a fleet of more than 1,500 prestige and specialist vehicles which we are constantly upgrading, we inevitably have a significant number of vehicles which we need to remarket.  Our specialist cars division is already gaining momentum and the appointment of an experienced sales professional like Chris, together with the launch of a brand new, user friendly website, will build on this success, driving further growth.”

Chris commented: “AMT has established itself as a leading name in the luxury motoring sector, offering vehicles from some of the most prestigious marques in the world to both the leisure and corporate markets.  Building on the reputation of its vehicle rental and leasing divisions, I am looking forward to working with the team to promote our specialist cars offering as part of AMT’s complete motoring options.”
