AMT meets Yorkshire cricketer
Earlier this week, our Marketing Manager Heather Thompson and General Manager Andy Crinson were welcomed to a YCCC Corporate Sponsors' evening where they were able to meet the players and learn more about plans for the coming season.
We are sponsoring Yorkshire cricketer and two-times Ashes winner Tim Bresnan, who became the youngest player in 20 years to represent Yorkshire's first team when he debuted in 2001, at just 16 years and 102 days old. Born in Pontefract, Tim started his career with Castleford Cricket Club, going on to play for England, England Lions, England Under 19s, Marylebone Cricket Club as well as for Yorkshire. Tim has gone on to win the first 13 Test matches he played, between 2009 and 2012, during which time he took the wicket that retained the Ashes for England in Australia in December 2011.
As part of the player sponsorship agreement, our brand will be seen on screens at Headingley as well as featuring on social media and on the club's website.
Andy Dawson, commercial director of Yorkshire Cricket Club, said: "As a well-known name in prestige and specialist vehicle rental, we're delighted to be linked with AMT. It's vital to the ongoing success of the club that we are able to forge partnerships with growing businesses in the region."
Andy Crinson, general manager of AMT Vehicle Rental, commented: "We are proud to partner with Yorkshire County Cricket Club which, with its long sporting heritage, adds so much to the region's strong sense of identity and still has a loyal following both here in Yorkshire and beyond."
